Picture Editing for websites
Open Photo Iimpact /Go file open /or scan/or digital camera/open the required picture. If you know it to be a large picture always go/view/actual view, and note how large they are in proportion to your screen. Make sure under view/toolbar you have standard /attribute and palette tool bar ticked .
To cut a selected area out of a large photo
go view/actual view “you nearly always have to go actual view after
you’ve’ edited”Then select standard selection the oblong box on the tools
toolbar pull it over your selection at this point make sure the tick is out of fixed
in the attribute toolbar just above the picture .When selected go edit/copy exit
paste as new image.Now save go file/ save as and give the image a name and
file type jpg or gif. Close the image and open it again.Then go
format/dimensions and with the tick in aspect ratio scroll down to a reasonable
size.then save remember/view/actual view.To take a jpg into a gif file open go
format /datatype/optimised index 256 color now go file save as and scroll the
file type as gif.To make a bmp or gif into a jpg open it in photoimpac go
format/data type/true color then file save as scoll the file type to jpg name it
and save.
Frontpage
Make a box on c:/ aawebsite open frontpage open a new page and Go file/ save as save it as index.htm this is the first page anyone will see in
your site when you’ve given it a name type a heading insert a picture and
remmber the pictures and the pages all need to be saved to aawebsite. Inserting
pictures is similar to word etc but you will not get the in depth finite
precision of those progs.
To up load open terrapin scroll the botom payne directory “on your hard drive c:/aawebsite into view so all the files show in the right side lower payne. On the toolbar go server open your server Pick up the file you wish to loadin the bottom right payne, with your right button and walk to the main box in the left top payne this uploads.webspace.freeserve.net . Let the right buton go and copy there.Close terrapin and say yes to save. Then view the site in the web browser.
